- Passions for teaching -
Diving brings out the adventurer in me. I love to explore the underwater world whether it’s fresh or salt water.
Diving develops the naturalist in me. Observing the beauty of God’s natural order in marine life is fascinating and intriguing. From whale sharks to Pumpkinseed sunfish, the marvels of life underwater hold special meaning for me
- Passions for diving -
Diving unleashed a side of me I never knew really existed and took me to a new level. I get a lot of personal satisfaction helping students discover that inside them and growing in confidence, ability and personal achievement
- Diving goals -
I would like to be able to integrate diving into a resort I would own in the Ozarks but in addition, I would like to be a tour guide for groups to go diving around the world. In particular I would like to see the WWII wrecks at Truk and
do the deep ones from Christmas Island. I also would like to do the manta dives at Yap and the nighttime dive in Hawaii where they set up big lights and the mantas come in. I also would like to see some of the fantastic marine life in the Sea of Cortez such as whale sharks and other big pelagic creatures

- Notable Scuba Experiences -
Belize—Lighthouse Reef and Halfmoon Caye
Fantastic Walls, exciting swim-throughs, and unbelievable coral formations.
Gulf of Mexico—Flower Gardens National Marine Sanctuary
110 miles out in the Gulf surrounded by very deep water are the East and West Flower Gardens Banks and Stetson Bank. Exceptional clarity with huge mounds of hard corals in the Flower Gardens and clay banks at Stetson Bank loaded with various tropical fish, eels, rays, and even whale sharks.
New Mexico—The Blue Hole
An 84 ft. conical hole in the rock from which an artesian spring flows 3,000 gallons per minute at a constant 64 degrees. A fascinating altitude dive experience.
Texas—Athens Scuba Park, the Comal and San Marcos Rivers, the Oasis, Canyon Lake and Lake Travis
Exciting fresh water diving with good visibility in lakes, springs, quarries, and Rivers. Everything from discovering underwater wrecks such as the original tour bus of country singer Ray Price to swimming with huge catfish, bass, and sunfish.
Oklahoma—Skiatook, Tenkiller Ferry Broken Bow, Birch and Hulah lakes.
From good visibility to none, from observing schooling fish to exploring the dark depths of our local reservoirs, our local lakes have a lot of variety. Have you ever seen a fresh water jellyfish?
Arksnsas—Beaver Lake and Lake Dardenelle
Fun diving and exploring with an underwater metal detector are my favorites in these lakes
Missouri—Tablerock Lake
Great diving on sunken cabin cruisers, experiencing really clear water in 100 ft depths, and playing with the local bass. I don’t fish for bass anymore as they are too social and friendly when I dive with them.
